Summer internship program.
Publix’s summer internship program lasts 10–12 weeks in the summer. Most internships are located at our corporate facilities in Lakeland, Florida. Interns gain real-world experience, work on challenging projects, and network with professionals to develop valuable skills beyond what they can learn in a classroom. We offer competitive pay and expect interns to work 40 hours per week, although this varies 
by department.
As a Publix intern, you would:
- receive performance evaluations twice during the summer
- attend luncheons with Publix executives
- participate in a local community service event
- receive invitations to after-work events
- give an end-of-summer presentation to a large group of Publix leaders.

In 2024, internship job postings will go live at the end of January. Applicants must be bachelor or graduate level degree-seeking students enrolled in college, meet strict criteria on what major they are pursuing, and meet requirements based on the department offering the internship. All internship opportunities are posted online at our Publix Job Center with the word ‘Intern’ in the job title. You must apply online to be considered.
